All our coaches and leaders hold the appropriate licenses and qualifications. Sessions are charged on a ‘pay as you go’ basis (£4 per session, with cheaper pay-monthly options available) and there is no membership fee. Visiting runners, and members of nearby running clubs, are always welcome to join in. If you’re coming along for the first time, drop us an email or text to let us know and we’ll look out for you.
No matter what your pace, aspirations or experience, you'll never be left out or left behind.
Over the years, Rye Runners has become more than a running group – it’s a community institution, a social and support network and a force for good. Through various fundraising activities, we’ve donated to St Michael’s Hospice, Sue Ryder, the Commonwealth War Graves Commission, the Rother Responders and ReRun and taken part in local beach cleans. We are always interested to hear about local projects that we may be able to help with.
Sessions: Every Wednesday 6.30pm. Every Saturday 9am.
Cost: £4 per session. Pay-monthly options are £12 for one session per week or £20 for two sessions per week, payable in advance by standing order – one month’s notice required to cancel.
Meeting point: The Cricket Pavilion, The Cricket Salts, Fishmarket Road, Rye TN31 7LR. There are toilets and changing rooms, access to water and hot drinks and it is safe to leave your stuff here.
Getting here: The Cricket Salts is a five-minute walk from Rye railway station. The nearest car park is called Bedford Place - a fee is payable, so bring change. We recommend allowing two hours – the running session is approximately one hour in length but we sometimes run over, and then there’s tea and biscuits to be had!
