As well as gently building up your running endurance and strength over the ten weeks, the course will introduce you to the skills of running, so that you will be able to run more efficiently and comfortably - and with minimal risk of injury. Whether you've never run a step or it was so long ago you can't remember, this is the perfect opportunity to dust off those trainers and start your running journey. We guarantee you will never be left out or left behind.

WHAT DO I WEAR?

Wear comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing and trainers or comfortable lightweight shoes with some grip.

WHAT SHALL I BRING?

Bring a drink if you tend to get thirsty. If you use any medication, such as an asthma inhaler, don’t forget to bring it with you. In winter, we suggest high-viz clothing and a head torch or body light for safety after dark – but we always have a few spares.

WILL I BE THE SLOWEST/OLDEST/LARGEST?

You might be. Someone has to be. But then again, you might not be. And you know what? It doesn’t matter a jot. Everyone is equally valued, welcomed and supported.
